About Me

Julissa Munsters

  STOTT PILATES®  

 

Hi, I’m Julissa Munsters, and I’m so glad you’re here! Pilates has been a significant part of my life for years, and I can’t wait to share its benefits with you. My journey started when I was just 14, following along with Mari Winsor’s Basic 3 DVD Workout Set on the living room carpet of my family’s farmhouse. At the time, I had no idea that this movement practice would become such a defining part of my life.


After years of personal practice, both classical and contemporary, I realized how much Pilates improves not just strength, but overall body awareness, mobility, and mental clarity. That’s what inspired me to pursue formal training and deepen my understanding of this movement method. I am STOTT PILATES® Certified in both mat and reformer. I am actively pursuing my full Level 1 Certification by completing my training in Cadillac, Chair, and Barrels by mid-Summer 2025. I invite you to join me in the studio to experience movement sessions that challenge, restore, and empower.


My Teaching Philosophy

Contemporary Pilates meets you where you are. It’s not about forcing movements or striving for perfection—it’s about learning, adjusting, and growing at your own pace. My goal as an instructor is to create an environment where you feel supported, capable, and confident in your body’s abilities.


I like to think of Pilates as a conversation between your mind and body—one where I can help to guide the dialogue. My role is to provide clear, intentional instruction while giving you the space to explore movement in a way that feels good for you. Whether you're here to recover from an injury, build strength, or simply move more mindfully, my goal is to help you trust your body and enjoy the process.


Beyond the Mat

When I’m not teaching, you can find me enjoying time in my kitchen, exploring the great outdoors,  or spending time with my family. I’m a mom, wife, and lifelong learner. I am in constant study of new ways to integrate movement, nutrition, and holistic wellness into daily living. We only get one body in this lifetime—and I believe in nourishing it with movement, food, and care in a way that’s sustainable and joyful.
